Cyprus Trip 2012 Series - Part 1 - Larnaka
You are not having eyesight problem okay, its was indeed in 2012! Two years ago... four girls with a mission to conquer (uhem) wander around the Mediterranean island of Cyprus is what we were. And I didn't share our photos much because I always wanted to write about it in a photo story like what I'm doing now and I didn't have my blog back then (though I always wanted to for a couple of years before I actually started Cole Notes in October 2013, sometimes it just take the right amount of knowledge at the right time to pull something off, right?)
So here's the first installment of our journey I want to share with you all and we will roam first around the municipality of Larnaka.

Communication essential, a prepaid SIM card for € 7,50
And here we are waiting for our rental car
After we were picked up by Vadim, a cool guy from the rental company originally from Ukraine and used to be a soccer player - we headed straight to their office
To fill out the forms, pay car insurance, etc
After a phone call to my credit card company, swiping it out, and signing those forms now we have the car for 8 days and here I am struggling with right-hand driving, keeping the car at left side of the road and that persistent but helpful GPS!
Finally reached our temporary home. We stayed in a hotel apartment, travelling cost effective :-)

And we found this lovely family-run restaurant... well, towards the end of our trip I actually realized that most businesses were family-run

Our first Cyprus dinner... we had half order of meze but was more than enough to fill our small tummies, we could have ordered more and wasting it. Thanks to the lovely lady who runs the restaurant and assisted us in placing our orders she was a good judge of how much we can hold :-)

Now back to the apartment ladies, another long day (or roaming around) tomorrow.
